Innovation to Transform Realities

3

How do we understand technology?
Rather than defining it as modern or digital equipment in itself, we understand it as the tool that the student masters and applies in the development of the different areas of knowledge.

What skills do they acquire through technology?

Problem solving

We encourage the use of digital tools to find solutions to given problems. In the process, students learn to apply technology, cultivating patience, resilience and solidarity.

Creativity and critical thinking

By examining different options to solve a specific problem, students develop their creativity and critical thinking, understanding all the variables that can affect a solution.

At the service of others

The use of technology makes sense if the technique employed allows growth at the personal and community levels, favoring the common good.

At the service of others

El empleo de la tecnología cobra sentido si la técnica empleada permite el crecimiento a nivel personal y comunitario, favoreciendo el bien común.

Technology in the daily life of our school

We have different technological tools that improve education and knowledge acquisition, making them more meaningful for students:

Interactive whiteboards

The Mathematics, Communication, History and Science classes use this tool that allows dynamic interaction and collaborative work in class.

Learning digital platforms

We work with various platforms, such as Raz-Kids®, BrainPOP®, Scholastic®, Socrative®, Sora®, Peardeck®, Nearpod®, Kahoot®, Mentimeter®, Google Education, among others.

Design Digital Platforms (CAD Software)

We use specialized design software such as Adobe®, AutoCAD®, Tinkercad®, Fusion360®, Lightburn®, among others.

Digital platforms and devices for computational thinking

We have a line of robotics equipment of the brand Mblock®, Bee-bot, Blue-bot, Ozo-bot, among others. In addition, we encourage the development of computational thinking with apps such as Scratch Junior®, Scratch®, Makeblock®, Python®, among others.

Digital Devices

We use digital equipment such as 3D printers, 3D pens, laser cutters, Arduino modules, A3 printer, virtual lenses, drones, among others.

Parameter sensors

Laboratory practices in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as research projects, are carried out using various sensors to assess parameters.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

Different projects worked on in our school aim to integrate different areas of knowledge and, within them, some involve the use of technological tools to solve problems after previous research.

MakerSpace

MakerSpace is a space in which our students have at their disposal a series of manual and digital tools to build their projects. It promotes collaborative work, leadership, the search for solutions and innovation, having a human perspective and integrating diverse knowledge to solve a particular problem.

MakerSpace has tools such as technical drawing boards, computer equipment to work with specialized software for design, prototyping devices such as 3D printers, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, as well as devices for augmented and virtual reality, 3D pens, among others.
